Henry V. Larom (1903-1975)

American author whose children's books were set in the Wyoming area. He wrote six stories, all with a horse theme and all aimed mostly towards boys, being of the ranching, wild west type. Four of the books formed a series. There were also two other stand-alone stories which are both of the same type. As far as I know these were the only books he wrote.

Collector's Info:
The whole series was reprinted as part of the Grosset Famous Horse Stories series and also as paperbacks, so there are plenty of editions to choose from. They are all pretty easy to find in the USA and usually quite low cost, although much harder to find elsewhere. A new 'print on demand' copy of the second book in series can be bought from Amazon UK but it may work out more expensive than buying an old cheap copy from America!
